Truck Pit Stop handles diesel truck repair for Charlotte, NC owner-operators and fleets from our shop at 416 Seaboard Dr in Matthews, just off US-74 (E Independence Blvd), about 13 miles southeast of Uptown. We diagnose and repair Class 8 trucks, tractor-trailers, box trucks and commercial trailers: engine, transmission, DPF/DEF, electrical, brakes, suspension, semi truck alignment, welding, frame work and DOT inspections, plus tires for semi trucks and their trailers. Remote diagnostic support and mobile service are available when a shop technician is free; some roadside problems still need a tow to the shop for a complete inspection. Open Monday–Friday 9:00 AM–7:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM–1:00 PM.

A semi truck DOT inspection is a real annual safety inspection, not a guaranteed sticker. At our Matthews shop near Charlotte, a qualified inspector from our diesel mechanic team checks the commercial vehicle components required by the applicable FMCSA periodic-inspection standards and documents the result. The inspection is $75 for semi trucks and trailers. If we find a defect, we explain it and can quote the repair before any additional work begins.
