While your truck is in the shop at Truck Pit Stop, you don’t have to wait in the cab or in the parking lot. Our driver lounge in Matthews, NC is for customers while we work on their truck, and it is open during shop hours.
What’s in the driver lounge
- Leather sectional seating and a large wall-mounted TV
- Free Wi-Fi

- A microwave for your own food
- Air conditioning
- A washer and dryer, so you can do laundry while we work
- A driver restroom, separate from the staff restroom
The room is set up for drivers, not tucked into a corner of the office. You can sit on a real couch, watch TV, eat at a table and catch up on laundry while your truck is in the bay.
Who can use the driver lounge, and when
The lounge is for customers while their truck is with us. It is open during shop hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Saturday 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We are closed Sunday. If you are dropping off close to the end of the day, call ahead so we can plan the job around it.
How long you’ll be waiting
Most repairs are finished the same day. When you drop the truck off, tell us your schedule. If a job needs a special-order part, we tell you upfront so you can decide whether to wait, take a break or make other plans.
Making good use of the wait
- Start a load of laundry first, so it is done by the time the truck is.
- Use the Wi-Fi to catch up on paperwork, check messages or line up your next load.
- Heat up your own food in the microwave and eat at the table instead of in the cab.
- Grab a coffee or a bottle of water and put your feet up. If you have time to rest, a couch in an air-conditioned room beats a hot cab in a parking lot.
Shorten the wait before you get here
The fastest repairs start with good information. When you call or book, tell us what the truck is doing: any warning lights or fault codes, when the problem shows up (cold start, under load, at idle), and anything that has already been replaced. That helps our technicians go straight to the right test, and it often means the truck is back to you sooner and your time in the driver lounge is shorter.

Does it cost anything to use the driver lounge?
No. The lounge, Wi-Fi, coffee and water are free for customers while their truck is in our shop.
Can I do laundry while I wait?
Yes. There is a washer and dryer in the lounge, so you can get a load done during the repair.
Can I bring my own food?
Yes. There is a microwave and a table, so you can heat up a meal and eat inside instead of in the cab.
Is the lounge open on Sunday?
No. The shop and the lounge are closed on Sunday.
